A Fun Game for Learning to Count Coins

Are you looking for a money game for your station? This money game is perfect for the fun engaging interaction you need for learning how to count coins. Your students will learn to count mixed coins.

Directions

**After Purchase**

1.Print, laminate, and lay as many money cards as you want in a large rectangle around your classroom rug, or in a large area in your classroom. Choose which cards you use to differentiate your learning groups.

2.Use 1 large die to make the game go slower, or two dice for a quicker game. I bought my large dice at a dollar store. Small dice works just as well if you don’t own large dice.

3.Use small stuffed animals as place markers. You may also consider small toys as place markers, such as bugs, treasure box toys they can take with them after the game, optional. I have also used candy of different varieties they can take after the game has ended.

4.As a player lands on a large card, they name the answer. Help them if this is a newer concept. If you want to make it more difficult, they must name the correct answer or return to their previous place where they were on the board, as a review.

5.The first one to land on the last card wins, or when time ends, the winner is the one ahead.

6.To play as a tabletop game, print these 4 to a sheet to make the game smaller.

7.Consider using these as flashcards for teaching or reviewing.

8.Please let me know if you have questions in the question and answer section of my store.
